3RDegree performs “Peel The Paint” by Gentle Giant

NJ Prog Rock band 3RDegree performing Gentle Giant’s “Peel The Paint” on April 21, 2007 at Metuchen, NJ’s NJ Proghouse. This was 3RDegree’s first public performance in just over 10 years! For more info check out http://www.3RDegreeONLINE.com

3RDegree formed in 1990 and put out 2 albums-1993’s THE WORLD IN WHICH WE LIVE and 1996’s HUMAN INTEREST STORY before disbanding after a final performance at NYC’s CBGB’s in 1997. The band decided to complete songs left unfinished and write new ones for a new album over dinner in December of 2005. Demos were made and singer George Dobbs found over 2006 and at the end of the year, drum tracks were recorded for 18 songs! The first half of the songs were assembled into a CD that will be released in early 2008 along with a DVD/CD of the Reunion Concerts from April 2007.

The performance was excellent! But if I may say just one thing…It might be the camera, but all I hear is treble, treble, treble. The song lacks that BOOM produced by drums and bass in the original. But hey…that’s not even so important. The whole song was excellent. Just to improve it to perfection you know…
